ETAP PAPHOS ENHANCES ACCESSIBILITY TO BEACHES IN THE PROVINCE The Tourism Development and Promotion Company of the Paphos Region within the framework of the actions of transforming Pafos district into a smart tourist destination further strengthens the initiatives to upgrade accessibility.

Through a modest event, delivered today by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ETAP Paphos Kyriakos Drousiotis, were three (3) floating wheelchairs (Floating wheel chairs) for the needs of public beaches of the communities of Pomos, Argakas and Timis. The strollers were picked up from the Presidents of the Community Councils from the offices of ETAP in Paphos.



For Timis and Pomos beaches, the construction of ramps and other infrastructure is in progress necessary for people with mobility difficulties with a completion horizon within October 2023 while at Argakas beach, the relevant infrastructure is expected to be completed in 2024.

The issue of accessibility has been high on ETAP's priorities in recent years while as you can see the destination has a long way to go to reach the levels accessibility of other competing destinations.

ETAP Pafos warmly thanks the Deputy Ministry of Tourism for the financial support, while the due action is included in the annual action plan for takeover related actions of Paphos, the title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2023.
