Christmas villages will operate in seven locations all over Cyprus this year as part of the initiative launched at least two years ago by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism to boost winter tourism.
According to a post by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism on facebook, this year there will be Christmas villages in Agros, Deryneia, Kalopanayiotis, Kyperounda, Laiki Geitonia in Nicosia, Lefkara and Fikardou.
According to the same post, the villages, from the end of November, put on their festive celebrations and prepare to welcome local and foreign visitors in a unique, romantic and festive atmosphere, with traditions and flavors of each region.
The whole initiative is part of the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy of the Deputy Ministry and especially the objectives for further development of winter tourism and promotion of the countryside, mountainous and border/remote areas.
We remind you that last year the Christmas villages operated from late November to mid-January.
