A very strong stench continues to emerge from the SAPA wastewater treatment plant in the area of Acheleia.
The stench is so strong that it affects the areas up to Timi and Geroskipou and the airport, depending on the direction of the winds. Residents of these areas stressed that despite the unbearable heat, they keep the windows of their homes closed, but still the stench is strong.
They again called on the organization's board to put pressure on the private operators of the station to end what they called their ordeal.
