The next three days will set everything on the Cyprus weather menu, starting from an August outlook today as a low pressure system continues to affect the island and through to early next week, when the Met Office expects isolated showers and storms in most of the inland areas.
But Sunday first, fine and back to late August hot, with initially light variable winds force three, later turning southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate force three to four, over slight seas.
Temperatures will rise to 38 degrees Celsius inland, 33 in southern and eastern coastal regions, 31 in the rest of the coastal areas and 27 on the mountains.
Clear, starry skies this evening, with light winds force three over calm to slight seas and temperatures dropping to 19 inland, 21 in coastal regions and 16 on the mountains.
Tomorrow it’s expected to get increasingly overcast mainly over the mountains but also in certain inland areas, while Tuesday and Wednesday will see isolated showers and storms from noon onwards.
Temperatures will drop slightly next week, edging near the seasonal average.
