Another yellow warning for high temperatures was issued by the Met Office.
The yellow warning is expected to be in place from 11am to 5pm.
The maximum temperature will be around 41 degrees Celsius in parts of the interior and around 33 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains.
The weather forecast
Seasonal low pressure affects the area. Today, the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will blow initially variable weak, 3 Beaufort to gradually become mainly southwest to northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient locally on the south coast until strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent and locally windward in the afternoon a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to 41 degrees in the interior, 32 degrees on the west coast, around 34 degrees on the rest of the coasts and 33 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, however locally increased low clouds will be observed from time to time. The winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast weak and transient in the west to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent and locally initially in the west a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to 22 degrees in the interior, around 24 degrees on the coast and 23 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Saturday, the weather will be mostly clear. On Sunday, the weather will be mostly clear. On Monday, the weather will be mostly clear. The temperature will gradually drop to fluctuate close to or slightly above average climatic values.
