Two persons, aged 41 and 25, were arrested by members of the Police, in connection with an investigated case of burglary and theft, committed in the Paphos district.
According to the evidence under consideration, the burglary was committed last Monday, July 31. Among other things, a wallet containing a sum of money, two rings of gold, and a bicycle were stolen from the residence.
As part of the investigation of the case, on Wednesday, 02 August, members of the ICF and OPE Pafos conducted a search at the residence of the 41-year-old suspect, where they located the bicycle that had been stolen from the residence.
The 41-year-old was arrested for a flagrant offence and later arrested on a court warrant. He was detained under a one-day court order issued on Thursday by the Pafos District Court for police examinations.
Shortly after 9:00 pm on Thursday, members of the police arrested the second suspect, aged 25, also under a court warrant issued on the basis of evidence obtained against him.

Unknown persons attempted to break into ATMs. According to the head of the ICF of Pafos, Michalis Nicolaou, around 4 in the morning the alarm system sounded at a restaurant located on Poseidonos Avenue in Kato Paphos, which is connected to a private security company.
An employee of the company went to the place, where he found that an ATM placed on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, had been moved and was lying on the side of the road. Examinations are held on the stage. CCTV and potential witnesses are being sought to ascertain the circumstances of the Theft.
At first glance it seems that the ATM was not hacked to steal money, but it was damaged.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man at dawn today as part of an investigation into a case involving conspiracy to commit a felony, theft and illegal entry.
The 29-year-old is allegedly involved in a case of theft of copper tubes and bronze worth €700, from a factory in Limassol, on 24/07/2023. For the same case, another 25-year-old person was also arrested.

A case of fraud and extortion of money by false representations is being investigated by the Police in Limassol, who proceeded to the arrest of a suspicious person.
Specifically, last Monday, July 31, a 38-year-old man reported to the ICF of Limassol that on July 17, he found on an internet website, an advertisement for renting an apartment in Limassol and by calling the phone number listed in the ad, he spoke with an unknown woman who answered his call and arranged a meeting for them to inspect the apartment..
After the 38-year-old met with this woman and inspected the apartment, he agreed with her to rent it and as a deposit gave her the sum of €3,080, with an agreement to later pay the additional amount of €2,420. For the rental of the apartment, the 38-year-old co-signed a contract with the woman in question, in which the suspect recorded her details.
A check made by the 38-year-old, who then contacted the company that owns the apartment building where the apartment in question is located, told him that the suspicious woman had nothing to do with that company.
The 38-year-old rearranged and met at noon on Thursday with the suspect, in an area of Limassol, where members of the ICF of Limassol went. Police officers checked the suspect, who identified her as a different identity from that listed in the apartment rental contract she allegedly concluded with the 38-year-old.
A judicial arrest warrant was issued against the suspect, aged 34, under which she was arrested and detained for the purpose of investigating the case.

Two women aged 61 and 31 were arrested yesterday, during a check by members of the Police at a premises in Paphos where they were working illegally, who were subsequently found to have secured their employment at the premises by presenting identity documents with details other than their real details. The two suspects were taken into custody, with the Paphos ICF investigating the case.
The two suspects were spotted working in a restaurant in Paphos during a check by members of the Aliens and Immigration Service – Paphos YAM. During the check, it emerged that the two suspects secured their employment at the premises, after presenting copies of Greek identity documents, which were also submitted to the Social Insurance Services. However, as it was found by the members of the Police, the information in the identity documents they had presented is not their real details.
The examinations carried out by the members of the Pafos Police Force revealed that the 61-year-old, a third-country national, entered the Republic illegally last May, while the 31-year-old, also a third-country national, arrived in July in the Republic with an entry permit as a visitor, valid until July 26. The two remained illegally in the Republic.
The 61-year-old and 31-year-old were arrested by the members of the Police, for the offences of illegal stay in the Republic and illegal employment, and then they were arrested with court arrest warrants, by members of the Pafos ICF, for the purpose of investigation and case of forgery, circulation of a false document, impersonation, and securing registration with false representations.
The ICF Pafos continues the examinations.
