CRIME ROUND UP

 Filenews 20 August 2023

The theft of a significant amount of money from his car was reported to the police by a 38-year-old man from Limassol. He named his 24-year-old girlfriend as a suspect and she is wanted by police.

As the complainant reported to the police, in a drawer of his car he had placed a sum of money of about €6,500, part of money he gained from the sale of a share of a business in Limassol. Yesterday afternoon, while the money was in the storage compartment of the car, the 38-year-old took the car with his 24-year-old girlfriend and her daughter to go for a walk.

According to his complaint, at some point the complainant went down to a kiosk for a few minutes while mother and daughter remained in the car. When the 38-year-old left the women and returned home, he found that the money had disappeared.

He searched for his girlfriend to no avail, so he reported the case to the police. An arrest warrant has been issued against her and she is wanted.
