Measures to be taken regarding the occupation of an apartment complex in Chloraka, but also regarding immigration in general, such as the establishment of a unit that will control the cities with the task, among other things, of verifying the identity of immigrants, is mentioned in a written statement by the president of the K.S. Chlorakas, Nikolas Liasidis.
Mr. Liasides mentions among the measures to be taken in his view, the registration of migrants, the option of voluntary departure from Cyprus, relocation to an EU country, or the transfer if they do not choose one or the other to a closed facility and the imprisonment of "those who demonstrably created or organized incidents and committed thefts, burglaries and other offences."
He also says that the specific apartment complex in Chloraka must be sealed until the final settlement of the ownership regime by the Court.
Mr. Liasides expresses through the announcement his views on migration in general and citing the fact that Cyprus is semi-occupied, he says that "a request must be submitted to the EU to suspend the submission of asylum applications by people entering the country illegally" and "to stop immediately after sending the request to accept asylum applications due to emergency".
It also expresses its opinion on "requisitioning old camps or camps, which with maintenance will be quickly converted into closed controlled structures, which will be strictly guarded", while expressing views on airport controls and proposing the establishment of a "management-coordination unit to carry out daily checks in urban areas for illegals whose application has been rejected, for undeclared work, for verification of data and conditions of residence, with the aim of transferring those who break the law to the closed structures".
