The Central Bank of Cyprus informs the public, businesses and, in particular, depositors that an alleged entity under the name "UNIVERSAL BANKS" (www.universalbanks.com) does not hold a credit institution licence from the CBC.
The CBC encourages the public, businesses and depositors, as before cooperating with credit institutions, to refer to its website and specifically to the Register of Credit Institutions operating in Cyprus in order to ascertain which credit institutions legally operate in the Republic of Cyprus.
