The photo-labelling system is expected to be operational next Friday, July 7, with the activation of new traffic cameras, which will control the intersection of Makarios and Agia Zoni Avenues in Limassol.
It is reminded that, in Nicosia, fixed cameras are already in operation, which check the intersections of the avenues:
– Limassol with Armenia,
– Prodromou with Griva Digeni,
–Arch. Makarios III – Spyrou Kyprianou – Digeni Akrita, and
– Strovolos with Machaira Street, in Strovolos.
It should be noted that 20 mobile cameras also operate throughout Cyprus.
The aim is always, according to a police announcement, to reduce serious and fatal road collisions, as well as to consolidate proper road consciousness in our country.
