The scheme of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry is addressed to tourism businesses of any sector while the grant amount reaches up to €5,600 per business.

Gone are the days when traveling was all about escape and enjoyment. Today, a growing number of travellers recognize the impact of their actions on the environment and local residents, and choose sustainable certified accommodations and tourism experiences.

The CCCI, recognizing the urgent need for tourism businesses to transition to sustainable business practices, announces the launch of a Subsidy Scheme in this direction.

The scheme is addressed to tourism businesses of any sector while the sponsorship amount reaches up to €5,600 per business. What it covers:

  • Sustainability certifications (EU Ecolabel, Travelife, etc.)
  • Sustainability strategies & implementation of measures (energy audits, (food) waste audits, water use, CSR, carbon management plan, sustainability data disclosure actions, etc.)
  • Purchase of tools/technology solutions to monitor and improve sustainability performance
  • Organisation Environmental Footprint Assessment – OEF
  • Participation in education & training programs on sustainability issues
