More than 110 traffic violations were detected and reported during traffic checks carried out by members of the Police over the last three days in Ayia Napa and the wider area.
Members of the Famagusta Traffic Police, as well as motorcyclists of the Special Motorcycle Squad (EOMO) and the "Z" Teams, in the context of traffic police checks carried out in the area on drivers of four-wheeled motorcycles and buggy vehicles, proceeded to 114 complaints.
The complaints included, inter alia, failure to wear a safety helmet, traffic sign violations, overcrowding, illegal overtaking, failure to wear a protective belt and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Traffic controls will continue, with the aim of preventing road collisions and protecting all road users.
