If it is live Cuban music and food you are after, then this event is one to look out for. The Viva Cuba Fiesta II is coming to the Metropolis of Tamasos in Episkopeio on June 29 to celebrate all things Cuba. From 6pm onwards, music, dance, bites and drinks – all with a Cuban flair – will transform the area into a colourful Latin party. And what’s more, the event has a charitable mission of collecting donations, children’s items and medical equipment to be sent to Cuba.
The event is organised by the Embassy of Cuba and the dance studio Caliente and aims to highlight the richness of Cuban culture. Live Cuban bands will perform while dance shows get feet and hips moving. Street food trucks will serve all kinds of bites, including Cuban dishes, while Cuban cocktails and drinks are prepared at the bar. An exhibition of classic cars and photographs of Cuba will also be on display.
The fiesta, presented by Angeliki and Marios Nikiforou, supports the cause of the mission in Cuba and during the event used and/or new children’s clothing and medical equipment (gloves, syringes, bandages etc) will be collected to be sent to Cuba. To attend the event, there will be a €5 entrance which will be donated towards the charitable mission.
