The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will lay the foundation stone of the American University of Beirut this morning .
The AUB of the Mediterranean, as the University that will operate in Pafos from next September, greatly supports the efforts of the state but especially of the local authority of Pafos for the development of higher education.
The aim is to attract students from the wider region. The foundation stone laying ceremony at AUB's facilities at the carob mills will take place at 11 am.
At noon, President Christodoulides will meet with the leadership of the Pafos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the offices of the Pafos Chamber of Commerce. The meeting is expected to discuss projects of arrogant importance such as the creation of the Marina in Potima and the completion of the road network from Pafos Airport to the tourist area of Coral Bay.
The progress of the works of the first phase on the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous motorway and the completion of the plans for the second phase of the project will also be discussed.
At 5 p.m. the President of the Republic will inaugurate the "Nasos Constantinou" training centre in Paphos FC.
