The police leadership has now received the messages that the Pafos district needs reinforcement for its policing.
A temporary measure that has been taken lately, until the placement of new members of the force, who will fill the gap of almost 100 police officers needed, are the operations organized with the assistance of the MMAD. Last night there were patrols in various areas where there is increased activity of burglars, 144 vehicle arrests were made, more than 25 were investigated and 22 traffic complaints emerged.
They identified 15 drivers driving under the influence of alcohol and another tested positive for drug tests. Ten nightclub owners were also accused of broadcasting music without permission and shop equipment was confiscated.
