Ellados and Evagoras Pallikaridis Avenues may have been handed over to traffic, but the project has not been fully completed.
Municipal councillor Panagiotis Vorkas thanked the citizens and other residents and visitors of the province for their patience, stressing that work continues on the sidewalks, mainly, but also on the rest of the road network of the area in order for the project to be fully delivered in the coming weeks.
We are talking, he added, about one of the most important streets of the city, while referring to the criticism of "narrow pavement", he explained that based on the opinions of experts adopted by the local authority, this is required by modern perception in order not to develop high speeds, to prevent illegal parking, and not to allow dangerous overtaking and consequently causing accidents.
