A University Medical School is expected to operate in Paphos in the coming years. The Mayor of Pafos, Phedon Phedonos, revealed during the ceremony of the foundation stone of the American University of Beirut that the local authority has been granted by the state a piece of government land, near the Pafos hospital, which is designated by the local authority for the operation of the school.
The plot is located near Paphos General Hospital and the intention of the Paphos Local Authority is to operate Paphos Hospital as a University Hospital in the coming years with all the benefits for the local community.
