On the Nicosia – Limassol highway (A1), from Kalispera lights to the Pentaschinos river, from 28/02/2023 and for a period of six months, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 09:30 – 13:30, works will be carried out removal, transfer and repositioning of signs on the highway, in the direction of Limassol. During the execution of the works, the left traffic lane on the highway, in the direction of Limassol, will be closed for approximately 100 meters and the traffic will be diverted to the right traffic lane.
Also on the Paphos-Limassol highway, in the period from June 19 to June 23, 2023, between the hours of 08:00 and 19:00, maintenance work will be carried out in the highway tunnel, in the direction of Limassol and in the period from June 26 to June 30 2023, in the direction of Paphos, from the Department of Electromechanical Services. During the works, the tunnel will be closed and traffic before the motorway tunnel will be diverted to the oncoming traffic, which will operate in two directions.
The left lane of the Limassol - Paphos highway, in the section after the Ypsonas exit, in the direction of Paphos, will be closed during the period 19/6/2023 - 30/6/2023, between the hours of 09.00 - 15.30.
Also on the Limassol-Paphos highway, as part of the construction of the new road network in the area of the New Limassol Stadium, in the period 21 to 23 June 2023, the left lane of the highway, in the direction of Limassol, after the Erimi exit, will be closed.
On the Larnaca-Kofinou highway, in the section of the Kofinou entrance to the Larnaca-Kofinou highway in the direction of Larnaca, on Tuesday 20/6/2023 and Wednesday 21/6/2023, from 07:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., periodic roadway maintenance work will be carried out. During the works, the Kofinou entrance to the Larnaca - Kofinou highway will be completely closed and traffic will be diverted from the next entrance to Anglisides via the old Larnaca - Kofinou road, using appropriate signage.
On the following highways of the Larnaca Province in the period from June 26, 2023 to July 20, 2023, daily except Fridays and weekends, maintenance and watering of the greenery of the central islets will be carried out by the Department of Forestry:
(a) In the period from June 26, 2023 to July 20, 2023, between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00, on the Larnaca to Kofinou highway, starting 400 meters before the "Kalo Chorio" roundabout and ending in the Kofinou area, and
(b) In the period July 3, 2023 to July 13, 2023, between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00, on the Larnaca to Nicosia and Larnaca to Ayia Napa highways, from Larnaca airport to the "Rizoelias" roundabout and then to area of Kos.
During the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed from both directions for a length of 1500m. approximately, each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
In the province of Larnaca, on the motorways Larnaca Airport-Rizoelia roundabout up to the Nisos area, in the period 15/05/2023 – 07/07/2023, every day except weekends and public holidays, between the hours 08:30 – 15:30, pruning of the plants in the central islands of the highways, by the Department of Forestry. During the works, the lane adjacent to the central island will be closed in both directions and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
Works by the Forestry Department will also be carried out on the motorways Larnaca Airport-Rizoelia roundabout and Kalos Chorio-Kofinos roundabout, in the period 15/05/2023 – 07/07/2023, every day except weekends and public holidays, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:30, for pruning the plants on the slopes of the highways. During the works, the left lane of the motorways adjacent to the works will be closed in both directions and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
Also by the Department of Forestry, works will be carried out on the Nicosia - Rizoelias highway, from the junction with the Nicosia - Limassol highway to the Athienou junction, in the period June 22 to July 13, 2023, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 8:30 – 15:00, for pruning and cleaning the vegetation of the central island. During the work, the right lane will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the left lane, approximately 1.5 km away. approximately every time in both directions.
On the Nicosia-Denia highway, from the Anthoupoli roundabout to the Denia roundabout, in the period 19 June 2023 to 18 July 2023, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 09:00 and 14:00, there will be cutting back works by the Forestry Department pruning and clearing the vegetation of the central island on the highway. During the works, the right traffic lane will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the left traffic lane, at a distance of 2 km. approximately in both directions.
Horizontal pavement marking works on cycle paths in the lower streets of Nicosia will be carried out from Wednesday 31/5/2023 and for a period of four weeks, from 07:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the afternoon.

In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/5/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos and Section of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Hippocrates Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their junction with Themistokleous Street to Nikias Street and Kentaurou Street respectively.
In the province of Nicosia, at the Tseri bypass (Halepiano road), from Saturday May 6, 2023, from 7.00 in the morning and for a period of six (6) months, works will be carried out at the junction with the road under construction that will join the Perimetriko Motorway. The traffic lanes will be moved slightly south for a period of 3 months and then further north for another 3 months.
On the Anthoupolis - Palechorio road, from the junction with Orthodoxias Street to the exit to the Anthoupolis settlement, in Lakatamia, on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 p.m. until the morning of Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 08:00 a.m. water supply network replacement works are underway. During the works, the section of the affected road will be closed and traffic will be diverted through adjacent lanes.
In Tseri, Nicosia province, from September 1, 2022, works will be carried out on the Road within Tseri, which will last 78 weeks and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2024. Works will be carried out within the Municipality of Tseri to upgrade the main road that passes through the Municipality. More specifically, the works will include the construction of a two-lane road (with additional clockwise lanes at the traffic lights) within the Municipality of Tseri for a length of approximately 2.5 kilometers. It also includes the construction of sections of bypass roads (K. Misiaulis, Salaminas, T. Anthia, S. Papalazarou, etc.), in a total area of approximately 600 meters, which contribute to the main road. In the project, a small roundabout will be built connecting Strovolos and Agios Georgios streets at its northern end. Along the road, parking spaces will be created on both sides to serve the commercial areas of the Municipality as well as the two Primary Schools included in the project. The project also includes the construction of sidewalks, the installation of traffic lights, the undergrounding of all utilities, horizontal and vertical signage, the installation of new street lighting and other related works. Depending on each phase of the works, the relevant announcements will be issued that will describe the works to be performed as well as the corresponding traffic regulations.
Within the framework of the "Road within Tseri" Project, in the period 24/4/2023 - 4/8/2023, the fourth phase of the works is to be implemented. Specifically, a section of Strovolou Street will be closed from its junction with Agios Georgiou Street to its junction with Pentelis Street. During the above phase, drivers heading to and from Nicosia are requested to use Agios Georgios, Agia Sofia, Markos Drakos, Pentelis streets and the section of Strovolou Street, which will remain open to traffic. For the above traffic detour there will be appropriate temporary markings, which drivers are encouraged to follow.
Also within the framework of the "Road within Tseri" Project, in the period 21 June 2023 to 29 September 2023, the fifth phase of the works will be implemented and a section of Theodosi Pieridis Street will be closed from its junction with Protomagias Street to its junction with Michael Karaoli street. During the above phase, traffic from Nicosia to Marki and vice versa will be diverted to Salaminos, Filias, Amathustos and Analyondas streets. In addition, from Nicosia to Halepianes and vice versa, traffic will be channeled through Salaminos, Anexartisias and Tevkrou Anthia streets. For the above traffic regulations, there will be appropriate temporary markings.
In the community of Klaudia, in Larnaca in the period 22 to 27 June 2023, excluding Saturday and Sunday, from 07:00 to 15:00, periodic maintenance works will be carried out on the entire road surface of the connecting road that joins the road of Kalos Chorio - Mosfilotis with the old road Larnaca - Kofinou, after the Larnaca - Kofinou highway bridge, in Klaudia. During the works, one lane of the link road will be partially closed (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, using stop&go and/or temporary traffic lights.In Larnaca, as part of the "Improvement of the Larnaca - Dekelia Coastal Road, Phase C" Project, the works that started on September 16, 2022, from the Nauticos Club roundabout to the junction with Pyla, will continue to be carried out next to the boundaries of road for another three months, until August, 2023.
On the Larnaca - Dekelia coastal road, also as part of the construction works of the "Improvement of the Larnaca - Dekelia Coastal Road Phase C" Project, works will continue to be carried out at a point on the road despite the Larnaca Maritime Club in both directions until September 10, 2023 and traffic will be diverted to Navarinou Street for 650m. about.
Also in the province of Larnaca, on Friday 19/05/2023, the reconstruction works of the Ormidia - Xylofago road will begin, which will last for approximately 12 months, until the end of May 2024. The Project is an improvement of a part of the existing road that connects the community Ormideia with the old Larnaca - Dekelia - Famagusta road. The section of the existing road that is being improved begins immediately after the exit from the residential area (near the junction with Menelaou Ludemi Street) and ends at the junction with the old road

In Larnaca, during the period 1/6/2023 – 4/7/2023, between the hours 08:30 – 16:00, every day except weekends and public holidays, in parts of Limassol, Spyros Kyprianou, Alexandrou Panagoulis, Anexartisia and Giannou Kranidiotis avenues , maintenance work will be carried out on the greenery of the central islets, by the Municipality of Larnaca. During the works, the tangential traffic lane will be partially closed from both directions for a length of 100-200m. approximately, each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
In Germasogeia, while the work on the Project "Improvement of the Bypass Road of Germasogeia, Phase A" continues normally, in the context of the next phase, in the period 16/3/2023 - 20/6/2023, the following traffic arrangements will apply :
(a) The eastern side of Agia Paraskevi Street from its junction with Patmos Street, to the new roundabout beyond Mylou Street, will be opened to traffic, with two-way traffic. The west side will be closed for construction work.
(b) Part of Patmos Street from its junction with Agia Paraskevi Street to the new temporary small roundabout beyond the "Green Forest" nursery, will operate as a one-way road with a permitted direction towards the new temporary small roundabout. The remaining part of Patmos Street will operate with two-way traffic and turns into a dead end. Vehicle traffic from the Panioti area to Germasogeia will take place via Atreidon Street, the Germasogeia Roundabout, the Limassol Road Bypass, Agia Paraskevi Street and M. Theodorakis Avenue (New Germasogeia Bypass Road). Traffic from Germasogeia to the Panioti area will proceed as normal.
(c) The remaining traffic regulations remain as they are.
The works for the Project "Improvement of the Bypass Road of Germasogeia, Phase A" continue as usual and from Thursday 25/5/2023 work will be carried out on Tellyrias Street. In the period 25/5/2023 – 30/6/2023, in the first phase of the works, the section of Tellyrias Street, from its junction with Agia Paraskevi Street to its junction with Parou Street (approx. 130m long) will is closed to traffic and the following traffic arrangements will apply:
a. Traffic through the junction with Parou Street will be carried out as normal to serve the residents of the area.
b. Traffic from/to Germasogeia will be through the new bypass road and its connections with Agia Paraskevi Street, from the junction before the roundabout past Mylou Street and Patron Street.
c. The rest of the traffic arrangements remain as they are.
It is noted that, at a later stage for the next phase of the works, which will also concern the junction with Parou Street, new traffic arrangements will follow, for which there will be relevant information.
In Limassol, as part of the Great Flood Protection Project of Greater Limassol, work will be carried out on the traffic lights of Spyros Kyprianou Avenue and Evgeniou Voulga Street from Monday 19 June to Thursday 22 June. The rise to Evgeniou Voulgareos Street will be closed.
Also within the framework of the Greater Limassol Major Flood Control Project, works will be carried out on Nafpliou Street, from its junction with Mosesos Street to Gladstonos Street. The works are expected to last until Sunday 2 July 2023. During the works, this section of road will be closed.
Also within the framework of the Great Flood Protection Project of Greater Limassol, until Thursday June 29, works will be carried out on Evgeniou Voulgareos Street, between 85th Street and Nemeseos Street, in the Municipality of Kato Polemidion. Traffic from south to north and vice versa will be through other roads.
In Paphos, the road Aspro Potamos (boundaries of the State Forest) - Toxeutras in the Akamas National Forest Park is still closed, due to improvement works on the road network. The public, to avoid inconvenience but also for safety reasons, is invited to avoid using the road in question and to use the roads that lead from the communities of Inia, Arodon and Kathika to the Park. In particular, those who will visit Lara should use the "Inia-Lara" road and those who will visit Avakas the "Pano Arodes-Avakas" road. Land owners, farmers, breeders and other professionals operating in the area can use the "Pegia-Osia Matrona-Avakas" road.
On the Nicosia-Troodos road, from Tuesday 6/6/2023 and for a period of approximately 6 months, as part of the construction of the Astromeritis-Evrycho highway, retaining wall construction will be carried out along the Nicosia-Troodos highway in the Koutrafa Community, in the Koronia area. Traffic on the Nicosia – Troodos highway will be conducted through a bypass road parallel to the existing road.
Also as part of the construction works of Phase 1 of the Vassilikos Energy Center Road Network, in Mari, from March 23, 2023, construction works will be carried out on the road between the EAC substation and the Vassilikos River in Mari, north of the cement plant facilities sewage system and one lane will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be regulated with traffic lights. The movement of vehicles and pedestrians, on adjacent roads and residences will be done according to the corresponding local arrangements.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, on Friday 23 June 2023 until Tuesday 27 June 2023, every day except the weekend, between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00, test excavations will be carried out to locate services by the Water Development Department. During the works, part of the old Nicosia - Limassol road, approximately 50 meters long at a time, from the junction of the roads to Kornos and to Pyrga and for a total length of 600 meters in the direction of Stavrovouni, will be partially closed, and traffic flow will is done by using traffic light markings.
