Due to the three days of Kataklysmos, where increased traffic is expected to be observed, the Police, according to its announcement, has taken particularly increased measures, giving priority to the safety of road users, but also the protection of citizens and their property.
According to the Police, the measures include intensification of motorized patrols and increased presence of members of the Traffic Police on motorways, interurban roads and especially on the main roads.
In this context, the Police appeals once again to drivers to be particularly careful and comply with traffic signs and the instructions of on-duty police officers.
In addition, the Police take additional measures to prevent crime and especially property offenses, such as burglaries, thefts and robberies, with foot and motorized patrols, in cities and in the countryside.
Finally, it is noted that, in addition to the measures of the Police, the attention of the public is also drawn to take precautionary measures to safeguard their property before leaving their home, as well as in their vacation area.
