The fire that broke out earlier in Agia Fyla was brought under control with the intervention of the Fire Brigade.
According to Fire Brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis, the fire burned trees and vegetation within a fenced area of a residential extension, while it spread to a private vehicle where it caused extensive damage.
The fire, according to Mr. Kettis, was caused by firecrackers and torches thrown from an event that was taking place near the fenced area.
