 Detention orders of two days were issued by the Pafos District Court against three persons for an alleged case of conspiracy to commit a felony, residential burglary and theft to facilitate investigations.

According to the Spokesperson of the Pafos Police Authority and Head of the Pafos ICF, Michalis Nicolaou, on June 16, a 27-year-old man reported that on June 15, between the hours of 09:00 and 23:00, his bedroom door to the apartment where he lives was breached and the amount of €600 was stolen.

He also pointed out that three other compatriots live in the same apartment and that each owns his own bedroom which he insures.

Further examinations revealed that there was no breach of the main entrance but only that his bedroom door was breached.

The case raised suspicions against his roommates aged 31, 32 and 32. The three persons were arrested and placed in two-day detention.

The examinations for the case continue by the ICF of Pafos.

Paphos Police are investigating a warehouse burglary and theft of two electric bicycles, while a 33-year-old man is wanted for the case.

According to the Spokesperson of the Paphos Police Authority and Head of the Pafos ICF, Michalis Nicolaou, on Sunday, at 11:30, a 67-year-old permanent resident of Cyprus reported to the Pegeia police station that on the same day at 08:30 in the morning he realized that an unknown man violated a door of a storage space located on the ground floor of the apartment building where he lives and stole two electric bicycles with a total value of  €4,000.

The complainant saw the stranger riding one of the above bicycles and heading towards Agiou Georgiou Avenue.

He then followed him in his car and eventually met him at some point trying to transport the electric bikes to a car storage where he wrote down the registration number. The alleged perpetrator managed to escape with the two electric bicycles.

However, based on the registration number of the vehicle, an arrest warrant has been obtained against its 33-year-old owner.

The 33-year-old was also identified through photographs taken by the complainant at the time the alleged attacker was loading the two bicycles. Police are continuing their examinations to locate him.

A well-preserved small motorcycle, which was in the yard of its owners, was stolen at dawn by a gang of three young people.

Without taking any special precautions, they covered their heads with a "sweatshirt", broke the chain that was locked, took the bike and disappeared.
