Instead of facilitating traffic traffic, they make things difficult, especially at peak times with the lights that have been installed and operate at the new junction in Geroskipou.
This is the junction on Makarios III Avenue, phase b' at the junction with Ippokratous Street. The recently completed project concerned the improvement of the junction of Ippokratous Street with the old Paphos – Limassol road in Geroskipou Municipality.
The construction works included earthworks, asphalt works, works of a closed stormwater drainage system, modifications of existing services and installations of new services, construction of pavements and new pavement, installation of traffic lights and street lighting.
Zenonas Zenonos, conveying the complaints of several of his fellow citizens, pointed out that especially during peak hours, congestion is created in the area, due to the operation of these traffic lights and suggests the installation of "smart lights" that will facilitate rather than worsen the problem.
