The realization that the most important tourist market of Cyprus and primarily of Pafos, the British one, which had started the "high flights" already in April, has "taken off" for good during this period, causes great satisfaction in Pafos. While other areas continue to be in a more difficult position this year due to the continued absence of Russians, Pafos operators have a sense of security in this regard, since the province's dependence on the Russian market is to a lesser extent and the unhindered return of the British market to normality after the pandemic largely compensates for these losses.
The example of Britain seems to be followed, albeit on a smaller scale, lately by another important "tourist player" for Pafos, Germany. This makes things even better for Pafos, since the German market had been judged in recent years to be the only one that could immediately be an important choice behind Britain and Russia.
The tourist operators of Pafos also appreciate as remarkable the flow of tourists during these months from the rest of Central Europe, for most of which Paphos has been an increasing source of tourists in recent years.
