The two beaches of bathers in Kissonerga will be fully upgraded this summer, resulting in the community authority enjoying a large amount of money as income from their exploitation. This may not be comparable to the neighbouring Coral Bay, but the money flowing into council coffers is far from negligible.
According to the president of the community of Kissonergas, George Stylianou, the beaches of "Potima" and "Pente Litharka" have been upgraded since last year and prepared in time for the public.
On the beaches, important works have been done to shape and improve the spaces as well as the facilities provided to bathers, he said. Both beaches of Kissonerga will be staffed with lifeguards who ensure the safety of bathers.
They have easy access and in addition to the coastal pedestrian-bicycle path which has been built along the coastline, the connection of the hotels of Kissonerga with the beaches of bathers is achieved. Especially the guests of the hotels of Kissonerga can safely visit the beaches of bathers either on foot or by bicycle.
The revenues from the two bathers' beaches, which exceeded €190,000 for 2022, are an important source of revenue for the Community Council of Kissonerga and contribute to the implementation of the development and implementation program of the projects planned by the Community Council, stressed Mr. Stylianou, expressing the certainty that the beaches of Kissonerga bathers will be a reference point for the whole of Pafos in the coming years.
