The SHSO announced that as of Thursday, May 4, all its hospitals will implement simplified procedures for the supply of medicines and consumables from the pharmacies of public hospitals, with the issuance of special vouchers.
As the announcement clarifies, patients will now be able to obtain, in advance, as many coupons as they wish, so that they do not have to visit the hospitals' cash desks every time they purchase medicines and consumables from pharmacies, thus significantly reducing their service time.
Specifically, at Nicosia and Famagusta General Hospitals, patients will be able to obtain the vouchers directly from pharmacy registrations, while at the General Hospitals of Limassol, Larnaka, Paphos, Polis Chrysochous, Troodos and Makarios Hospital, they will be able to obtain them from hospital registrations.
Finally, the SHSO states that it constantly evaluates the needs and, within the framework of a specific strategic planning, makes the necessary arrangements for public hospitals to become model centers for the provision of health services.
