CYTA characterizes as important for Cyprus and its role in the wider region the new international cooperation with the leading satellite provider ABS.
Cyta has announced the launch of its cooperation with the leading international satellite provider ABS. The aim of the partnership is to support ABS's satellite navigation services and the continuous development of its services in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Cyta will provide satellite access from the Makarios satellite station in Cyprus and broadband extensions via its international network of submarine cables, which offers high security, flexibility and scalability.
ABS has already transferred its services to the satellite station "Makarios". The station is supported by experienced staff, has modern facilities and is certified at the highest Tier-4 level by the World Teleport Association (WTA). It operates in a privileged geographical location that offers optimal conditions for satellite communications and maximum access to the satellites visible from Cyprus.
Costas Psillidis, Cyta's International Wholesale Market Manager, noted: "We are extremely pleased that ABS has placed its trust in Cyta for these important services through the Makarios satellite station. The project is a significant expansion of our capabilities in supporting satellite navigation services, in collaboration with a highly recognized international satellite provider such as ABS. We strongly believe that this partnership will help create a fertile environment for further growth, unlocking new opportunities for us."
Ron Busch, Executive Vice President Network and Engineering at ABS, said: "We are excited to partner with Cyta through the WTA-certified Makarios satellite station, which ensures the reliability and support required to provide world-class service to our customers."
