The attack on her mother's cohabitant prompted a 15-year-old to reveal the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her 30-year-old half-brother. The suspect was brought before the Limassol Court yesterday and in closed proceedings, he was ordered to be detained for a period of three days.

The 30-year-old is being investigated for offences of sexual abuse of a minor and threatening, offences committed in 2022. As "F" is aware, the 15-year-old minor reported that three months ago, while sleeping in her bed, the suspect lay down next to her and began sexually harassing her, suggesting that they have sex. The minor started shouting and the 30-year-old fled the place.

The 15-year-old complained that the same incident happened during the summer of 2022, where again the 30-year-old suspect began touching her in various parts of her body. The minor then told the 30-year-old that the two were siblings and asked him to stop, telling him she would talk to her mother.

According to the minor's complaint, the 30-year-old threatened her that if she spoke to anyone, he would harm their mother and her cohabitant. A few days ago the 30-year-old allegedly attacked and beat their mother's cohabitant, as a result of which he was seriously injured. That was the moment when the minor decided to talk about the above incidents.

The 30-year-old was arrested by investigators from the Child Sexual Abuse Offenses Investigation Branch, following a court warrant for his arrest, while under oral questioning he said everything was a lie. The case is expected to receive a number of statements from the two people's entourage and a written statement from the 30-year-old suspect.
