 Police handcuffed a 22-year-old man in Nicosia, in whose possession firearms, bullets and drugs were found.

According to the police, after evaluating information, they stopped at 10:30 last night for inspection the vehicle driven by the 22-year-old in an area of the capital.

During the search, a half-smoked cigarette with cannabis, a nylon bag containing cocaine weighing about 25 grams, a small amount of cannabis and the amount of  €490 were found inside the vehicle and seized as evidence, it said.

The 22-year-old was arrested for a flagrant offence, while in a subsequent search of his home, 25 bullets, cocaine weighing approximately 264 grams, two pistols, a revolver, as well as the amount of €5,555 were found and seized as evidence.

The Nicosia YKAN is investigating the case, the Police conclude.

The 18-year-old student, who was arrested last Saturday for offences relating to possession of drugs and possession with intent to supply to other persons and money laundering, is due to appear before the Limassol District Court and specifically the Children's Court.

The information that YKAN had recently received about the minor was fully confirmed. His arrest took place on May 20 when members of the Limassol YKAN and the Traffic Police stopped for inspection the car driven by a 34-year-old woman with the 18-year-old as a passenger. In a search of the 18-year-old's home pursuant to a court warrant, the sum of €4,725, cannabis seeds, 15 grams of cannabis and 10 grams of crystalline substance were located at various points and confiscated. The 18-year-old was arrested and questioned at the YKAN offices and admitted to the burgled offenses.

The 18-year-old admitted to selling drugs to his peers at his school and friends to buy a car for a few months. In fact, the amount secured exceeds 10,000 euros. The accused, as "F" is informed, just two weeks ago turned 18 years old and as a result he was brought before the Children's Court. Also, the offences he is accused of were committed when he was under the age of 18.

The 18-year-old also admitted to buying drugs from another person without naming him. The day before yesterday he was brought before the Children's Court, which ordered him to be released with conditions, and today he is expected to appear again to answer the charges he faces. Moreover, the Limassol YKAN proceeded yesterday to the arrest of a 19-year-old who went to a post office in Limassol and presented himself as the recipient of a package. Upon receipt of the package, which arrived from Spain, members of the YKAN proceeded to arrest him, while it was found that the postal package contained a quantity of cannabis weighing 60 grams and two handmade cigarettes containing cannabis, weighing 6 grams. Pafos Live

A traffic policeman of the municipality of Pafos filed a complaint with the police about an attack he received from a tow vehicle operator.

The traffic policeman, as part of his duties, reported the operator of the tow vehicle for traffic violations.

According to him, the latter attacked him and the traffic policeman went to the Pafos police where he gave a statement about the incident. It is not excluded that an arrest may follow.
