The most important tourist infrastructure project is the construction of the Marina in the bay of Potima. Its creation and operation is expected to give another dimension to tourism in the province since due to its location it will be the first port of Cyprus for yachts coming from EU countries and the Aegean.
In about a month , the announcement of a tender is expected to secure the services of Consultants, who will assist the Deputy Ministry of Tourism in the preparation of open tender terms and the conduct of the subsequent tender process, which will aim at finding an investor for the development of the Pafos Marina project.
According to the Deputy Minister of Tourism , Costas Koumis, Pafos Marina is a particularly important infrastructure project that will give a new development impetus to the area. In addition to the projects in the maritime area, the investors who will undertake the project will have the possibility of residential, commercial and tourist developments as a counterpart to the costly project in the marine area.
