Police have made three arrests in recent hours to facilitate investigations into cases of burglary and theft committed in the districts of Limassol and Paphos. Specifically, regarding a case of burglary, theft and theft of a car, committed in Paphos, a 24-year-old and a 33-year-old woman were arrested and detained, while regarding a case of burglary of a building and theft, committed in Limassol, a 35-year-old woman was arrested.
The Paphos case was reported to the Police, on April 15, 2023, by a resident of Paphos, who reported that between the dates of April 14 and 15, unknown persons broke into his premises, located in a fenced area, in a village in the Paphos district. The perpetrators allegedly stole from the premises an electronic device, as well as a car, owned by the complainant's wife, which was parked within the fenced area.
As part of the investigation of the case, members of the Pafos ICF found yesterday, on a road in Paphos, the stolen car. A 24-year-old man was spotted entering the vehicle, who was arrested for a flagrant offense after not giving satisfactory explanations as to how the vehicle was found in his possession. In the possession of the 24-year-old, the keys to the vehicle in question were also found.
The 24-year-old was brought before the Limassol District Court today, which issued a six-day detention order against him.
From the continuation of the examinations, testimony against a 33-year-old resident of Paphos was also secured. A judicial arrest warrant was issued against her, under which she was arrested today and taken into custody to facilitate interrogations.
The ICF Pafos continues the examinations.
Also in Limassol district, around 8.30a.m today, members of the Police were called to go to the home of a 33-year-old man, after he informed the authorities, he found an unknown woman inside his home.
The police officers who went to the said house found that she was a 35-year-old resident of Limassol, who was arrested for the offenses of illegal entry into property, illegal possession of burglary tools and illegal possession of property.
A judicial arrest warrant was issued against the 35-year-old under which she was arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations.
Part of the property found in the 35-year-old's possession was identified by the complainant as property stolen from his home.
The 33-year-old's home was also targeted by burglars between April 15 and 17, 2023. According to the complainant, the perpetrators allegedly stole a sum of money, three watches and his car key.
The ICF Limassol is investigating the case.
