PAPHOS - CYCLING POLICE DEALT WITH 115 INCIDENTS IN MARCH

115 out-of-court traffic complaints were made by members of the cycling policing department of the Pafos Police Directorate in March.

According to the Spokesperson of the Pafos Police Authority and Head of the Pafos ICF, Michalis Nicolaou, in March, in the context of their activity, the members of the Pafos District Cycling Police made 115 out-of-court traffic complaints, offered assistance to the public in eleven cases, carried out security measures during eight events and provided assistance in five cases to other departments and services of the Pafos Police Authority.

They also carried out a total of 14 arrests and checks of suspicious vehicles and persons, checks in parking areas to prevent car glass breakage and theft from them, provided advice to owners of shops and other premises on security measures for their property and advice to locals and tourists.

During March 2023, the members of the cycling policing department of the Pafos Police Department proceeded to the policing of the wider area of Geroskipou and Chlorakas, the policing of football matches, the control of beaches in cooperation with local lifeguards, the response to incidents at the Pafos District Welfare Office and more.
