As of May 1, 2023, the so-called "I intend" (application) for the conciliation attempt, which according to the law is mandatory, in order for the interested parties to proceed with the Divorce procedure by the Family Court, will be done only electronically, on https://pnevmatikilysi.cy.net/ website
According to an announcement by the Church of Cyprus, "from this date onwards no application of any other type will be accepted, as already agreed with the Cyprus Bar Association".
The electronic application can be submitted personally through the relevant offices of the Archdiocese or the Dioceses and through a third person (e.g. the Lawyer). It is noted that in the process of conciliation and spiritual dissolution of marriage, legal or other counsellors do not take part.
By listing, through the electronic procedure, all mandatory information, the interested parties immediately receive an email which informs you of the filing of the application, as well as a certificate, which is necessary for the proceedings in the Family Court.
Then, again by text message, an invitation to attempt conciliation will be addressed. This is mandatory as after this a relevant certificate will be issued (determined by law), which will be submitted, in case of failure, to the Family Court.
