The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company in collaboration with the Pafos and Evagoras Pallikarides cycling clubs are currently running until mid-June a specific campaign entitled "Let's share our roads safely".
The main aim of the campaign is to send messages to both cyclists and motorists on how both road users can empathize, with respect for both so that cycling is carried out safely. Messages deriving from the Road Traffic Code and approved by the Pafos Police Department – Traffic Police Department, whom we warmly thank.
The campaign is designed in Greek and English, promoted to the public of the Pafos district and mainly with the use of short spots and static banners on social media, media platforms, through announcements, interviews etc.
The whole effort is part of ETAP's actions to promote the title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2023. The second phase of the campaign is expected to be completed by mid-June 2023 while the third phase will run from mid-September to December 2023.
The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company and the bodies that surround it actively promote cycling tourism, so this effort is inextricably linked to the friendliness that the province should have to cyclists as a cycling destination but also to the general strategy for the use of cycling as an alternative form of environmentally friendly transportation.
