Cyprus Airways is currently experiencing an unexpectedly large number of calls and is making every effort to serve its customers as soon as possible, the airline said in a statement on Thursday, adding that it has allocated additional resources to its customer service teams to help and minimize customer inconvenience.
Cyprus Airways CEO Paul Sies said in a statement on behalf of the airline that "we apologise to our customers who experience longer than normal waiting times on calls and other communication channels and assure them that we are doing everything possible to serve them as soon as possible".e are working hard to reduce waiting times by extending the opening hours of our contact centres and providing our centres with additional resources," he added.
The airline prioritizes its passengers who need to travel within the next 48 hours and/or have changes for a flight within the next 10 days to email the callcenterurgent@cyprusairways.com so that it can first serve customers with urgent travel requirements, with the Cyprus Airways office at Larnaka Airport also assisting the airline's passengers. While for other questions interested parties are kindly requested to contact via callcenter@cyprusairways.com address, noting that they do not need to contact the call centre for confirmation, unless they wish to change a flight or if they have a question.
"While we should be pleased with our recent positive results that saw bookings increase by over 200%, especially to our new destinations Paris and Dubai, and the positive response we received with our new aircraft type that required some aircraft changes and changed flight schedules for the summer '23 schedule, We feel that the level of our service in this case did not meet the expectations of our customers. We therefore apologize for any inconvenience caused," the airline's CEO added, while thanking all passengers for their patience and understanding.
Cyprus Airways also said that the new aircraft type to be introduced on its routes this summer will be the most modern, fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft on the market and is expected to radically change the customer experience, with the airline adding that this new design will be announced at the Paris Air Show together with Airbus. the announcement concludes.
