A 19-year-old man was among the patients who died due to coronavirus in the last 2 weeks in Cyprus. According to an announcement by the Ministry of Health, during the weeks of April 7-20, four deaths were recorded in our country.
The deaths relate to:
- Man, 79 years old, who passed away on 03/04/2023
- Female, 82 years old who passed away on 06/04/2023
- Man, 88 years old who passed away on 07/04/2023
- Man, 19 years old who passed away on 10/04/2023
Therefore, until today 20/04/2023, the following have been declared:
- 1354 deaths with COVID19 as the ultimate (underlying) cause of death
Hospitalizations:
- 46 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in SHSO hospitals - 6 in serious condition (ICU: 3 off ventilator/3 intubated)
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 63,125 diagnostic tests were performed
- 1,546 new cases detected (total cases 658,450)
- Positivity rate in all tests 2.44%
