A joint forced return flight of third-country nationals was carried out yesterday by the Aliens and Immigration Service in cooperation with the Greek authorities and the Frontex Agency.
Twenty-nine persons, of whom 21 nationals of Pakistan and the other eight (8) nationals of Georgia, have returned to their countries.
In the coordinated joint operation, the foreigners, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, as well as members of the Frontex Agency, took part in and accompanied.
The Police continue to focus their efforts on maximizing the number of returns of third-country nationals. Also, the Police in coordination with the Ministry of Interior as of January 1, 2023 proceeded to 1,590 returns / deportations of third-country nationals (corresponding to last year's period of 649).
