The Police arrested a 37-year-old person yesterday, as part of an investigation into a case involving the illegal supply, possession and possession of drugs for the purpose of supply.
In a search carried out yesterday afternoon by members of the YKAN, pursuant to a court warrant, at the home of a 37-year-old man in Larnaca, seven nylon packages containing cannabis with a gross weight of about 2,700 grams, 18 packages containing cannabis resin with a gross weight of about 1,800 grams, 12 grams of cocaine and three precision scales were found and received as evidence.
The 37-year-old was arrested for an offence and detained to facilitate interrogations, while today he was brought before the Larnaca District Court, where an eight-day detention order was issued against him.
YKAN (Larnaca District Unit) is investigating the case.
