KAMARES - WATER - TRANSFER FROM LEPTOS GROUP TO TALA COUNCIL
Please note that with effect from 1 January 2023, Tala Council has assumed responsibility for the water supply of those Kamares residents who were provided with supply via Leptos Group water.
Please note the following:
1 Efforts are being made to tie up the water meter details with the correct full postal address, ie not plot number or other reference. When you receive your first bill [quarter ends 31 March] please check to ensure that the information is correct and advise Tala Council on kstala@cytanet.com.cy if there is any error.
2 If you previously settled your water bill via direct debit mandate or standing order, and wish to continue payment by this method, please go into Tala Council office with full details of your bank account and IBAN number. If you are away or do not reside permanently in Cyprus, please email Tala Council on kstala@cytanet.com.cy with your information, eg full name and address, Leptos reference number if known, meter number if known, address and bank details including IBAN number.
Otherwise payment can be made at Tala Council Office, by bank transfer or on JCC. Alternatively you can ring the council office with your credit card details. Full information will be shown on your Tala Council water bill.
3 If you have any arrears with Leptos, these must please be settled with the Leptos Group direct.
4 Where there are arrears [and it is understood that the majority relate to people who have not visited Cyprus for some years] please note that Tala Council will now proceed to disconnect the water meters of those affected and will not reconnect supply until evidence is supplied that arrears have been paid to Leptos. This will mean that those with outstanding arrears will be left with no water supply.
