GREEK INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE - Saturday 25 March

The Municipality of Paphos announces that next Saturday, March 25, special traffic arrangements will be implemented in the area where the parade for the National Day of the Greek Independence will take place for the purpose of smoothly conducting the event and facilitating the citizens.

The parade will start from the Monument of Ethnarch Makarios III and Resistance towards the city centre through Georgiou Grivas - Digeni Avenue. From 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Griva - Digeni Avenue and all its lanes, the section of Evagoras Pallikaridis Avenue from Kennedy Square to its junction with Charalambos Mouskou Street, the section of Nikos Antoniadi Street from its junction with Pallados Street (P.E.O. Offices) to Kennedy Square and the section of Apostolou Pavlou Avenue from its junction with Michael Kyprianou Street (former Offices of the Department of Finance of the Municipality) up to its junction with Gladstonos and Nikodimou Mylona streets.

The following areas will be used for the parking of vehicles: Parking of the former Police Station (Kennedy Square), stadium of the Vii Primary School (entrance from Grigori Afxentiou Street), Iacovio Stadium (entrance from Grigori Afxentiou Street), Karavellas Parking Area and the area near the Genocide Monument of Pontian Hellenism (Evagoras Pallikaridis Avenue).

Drivers are kindly requested to comply with the emergency traffic signs and the instructions of the on-duty members of the Traffic Police Department of the Paphos Police Department and the Traffic Wardens of the Municipality of Paphos to avoid unnecessary inconvenience and risks of causing accidents.
