''ACCIDENT' IS VIEW OF GREEK CORONER REGARDING THE DEATH OF LESIA BIKOVA AT PETRA TOU ROMIOU

Filenews 23 March 2023 - by Dora Christodoulou

The conclusion of the head of the Greek forensic service, Hara Spiliopoulou, on the death of Lesia Bikova at dawn on March 11 in Petra tou Romiou, definitively closes the issue of criminal activity, pointing, like the Matsaki position, in the direction of the accident. Now, the 11-day pre-trial detention of the 30-year-old expatriate, who was the controversial period with the 28-year-old Ukrainian woman suspected of committing a premeditated murder, ends tomorrow with the Police preparing to drop all charges against him before the court.

Spiliopoulou's finding arrived in the afternoon at the ICF Paphos from the Police Headquarters and according to information from "F" his reading confirmed the information that existed in the last 48 hours that he would also move in the "Matsakis spirit": That is, that the findings on the body of the unfortunate girl indicate an accident and not a murder, as the Cypriot forensic experts advised in the conclusion of the first autopsy.

Cross-checked information tells us that the Greek coroner states in particular that there is indeed a bone fracture that is also found in cases of strangulation, but in this case all the other evidence examined points in the direction of the trauma from the fall of the 28-year-old from a great height and not in a criminal act.

The report will be sent tomorrow morning to the Legal Service for instructions as to the further actions of the Police and according to the same information the instructions will be given on the same day. It is assumed that under the new autopsy, the 30-year-old suspect will be released tomorrow without charge, since his second detention order expires tomorrow anyway.
