1,281 NEW CASES, 6 DEATHS to w/e 16 March

Six deaths from Covid-19 were announced by the Ministry of Health for the past week, while 1,281 new cases of the virus were detected.

According to an announcement, the Ministry of Health informs that for the week of March 10-16, 2023:

• 6 deaths announced

They concern:

• Man, 97 years old who passed away on 11/03/2023
• Woman, 62 years old who passed away on 11/03/2023
• Woman, 85 years old who passed away on 12/03/2023
• Man, 60 years old who passed away on 13/03/2023
• Woman, 82 years old who passed away on 14/03/2023
• Woman, 94 years old who passed away on 15/03/22023

• Total number of deaths with COVID-19 as the ultimate cause: 1,341

Hospitalizations

• 41 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in shsypy hospitals
• 10 in serious condition (ICU: 8 off ventilator/2 intubated)

Diagnostic tests:

• A total of 61,062 diagnostic tests were performed
• 1,281 new cases were detected (total cases 653,667).
• Positivity rate in all tests 2.09%
