A visit was held yesterday at the City Hall of Polis Chrysochous by the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Ben Rawlings.
During his meeting with the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous, Mr. Giotis Papachristofis, he was informed about the planned major development projects of the Municipality, such as the Paphos - Polis motorway, the expansion of the port of Latchi, etc., as well as the prospects for the tourist development of the Municipality and the wider area with the two new hotel units under construction, which will create new jobs and contribute to the development of the local economy and the upgrading of the tourist product of the region.
At the same time, ways of cooperation between the Municipality and the community of English nationals, who reside permanently in the area, were discussed.
