Wednesday - 15 February 2023 - 7.00p.m. Theomaria Art Gallery (7, Vasilissis Karlottas & Elenis Paleologinas str.)
The Theomaria Art Gallery hosts for the 16th consecutive year an exhibition of carnival masks from all over the world and a mask-related art exhibition by Vera Efthimiou Parlalidou.
8:00p.m. Welcoming the Limassol Carnival
Wander around the narrow, romantic streets of the city with Diastasis Cultural Association’s vocal ensemble. Starting point: Municipal University Library.
Serenades by the Cypriot Serenaders at Saripolou Square and the Old Market.
Serenades by the Limassol Serenaders at Limassol Marina.

Carnival fiestas in front of Hellenic Banc (Gladstonos str.) and Bank of Cyprus (Ayiou Andreou str.).

The Limassol Municipality and the Limassol Union of Self-Educated Painters co-organise an exhibition on Carnival 2023.
With the participation of the Kato Polemidia Municipal Choir and Children’s Choir.
6.00p.m. Grigoris Afxentiou Square
And what is Carnival for, if not to sweep us off our feet? Grigoris Afxentiou Square (District Administration Office) comes alive, once again, for this year’s Carnival festivities.
We are joined by the Castiglion Fiorentino Historical Group in a spectacular flag-waving show with impressive flags and costumes. Live music by the Batukinio Percussion Band and the Brazilian Band consisting of 8 musicians and 12 percussionists!
The Mayor and the Municipal Council, accompanied by the Limassol Municipality Brass Band, the Limassol Majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association and the Limassol Majorettes will parade through the streets up to Grigoris Afxentiou square.
7.00p.m. This year’s King of the Carnival, the “King of the Flame” enters the city on a spectacular float accompanied by his entourage. After the coronation ceremony takes place, a parade will follow, setting off from Grigoris Afxentiou square, passing through Anexartisias, Ayiou Andreou, Karaiskaki (Municipal University Library), Stasinou and Andreas Drousiotis streets and ending at Grigoris Afxentiou square, where a Carnival party is to be thrown.
Don’t forget your Carnival costume; this is Limassol!
Friday - 17 February 2023 - Serenaders Evening - 7.00p.m. Medieval Castle
Route: Irinis street (in front of Kanali 6) – Medieval Castle
Participants: Moderni Keri Choir, Cypriot Serenaders, Limassol Serenaders, Ariones Choir, EDON Limassol Serenaders, Cultural Association of EAC Employees Choir, Ilandron male vocal ensemble.
Waltz performance by Machallekides School of Dance, flag-waving show by the Castiglion Fiorentino Historical Group and live music.
The event is organised in collaboration with the Cyprus Department of Antiquities.
Saturday - 18 February 2023
10.30a.m. Hellenic Bank (Gladstonos str.)
The Municipal children’s train will be touring around the city. The first tour will take place at 10.30a.m. Other tours will follow on a first-come first-served basis.
3.00p.m. The Limassol Cycling Club cycles in a carnival mood around the city.
Starting and Ending Point: Medieval Castle Square.
6.00p.m. Serenaders Event outside the Municipal University Library (Ayiou Andreou str.)
The Limassol Serenaders and the Limassol Municipality co-organise an event with serenades and carnival songs. Participants: EDON Limassol Serenaders, Moderni Keri Choir, Ariones Choir, Limassol Serenaders, Ilandron male vocal ensemble.
Treats by the Hellenic Bank.
Sunday - 19 February 2023
11.30a.m. Children’s Carnival Parade
Starting Point: Sea front road, Municipal Garden traffic lights
Ending: 2nd sea front parking lot – next to “Red” cafe
The parade will be preceded by the King of the Flame and his impressive float accompanied by the Limassol Majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association and the Limassol Majorettes.
6.30p.m. Serenaders Event at Perama Music Stage
Songs by the Georgalletos Serenaders. The event is dedicated to the memory of the founder of the group.
Monday - 20 February 2023 - Lanitis Carob Mill
Carnival costumes exhibition dedicated to the late Lula Siousmith.
Cartoon exhibition in collaboration with the Cyprus Cartoonists Association “GEL. A” and “PIN” Cartoon and Sketch Workshop.
The exhibitions are complemented by photos of the Cyprus Photographic Society – Limassol Branch and Limassol Carnival posters.
The exhibitions will remain open until 26 February 2023.

8.00p.m. Evening “Pellomaska” Parade
The Limassol Municipality in collaboration with Lemesos Media Group organise the evening “Pellomaska” Parade (crazy costume parade). The parade will be preceded by the King of the Flame, the Royal Family and the Limassol Majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association.
Starting Point: Agkyras street (in front of the mosque)
Ending Point: Medieval Castle Square
8.30p.m. Tuesday’s Carnival Fiesta, Medieval Castle Square
People of all ages are invited to dance their worries away in this 90s Retro Party with Lopodytes band and DJ Mad Max.
Free-style Carnival Costume Competition – Awards will be given to the best three participants.

The Limassol Municipality in collaboration with the association “Friends of Limassol Carnival” co-organise an Evening Carnival Parade with the participation of the Batukinio percussion band and the Limassol Majorettes, preceded by the King of the Flame.
8.30p.m. Thursday’s Carnival Ball, Medieval Castle Square
You are invited to sing and dance to the music of 10 great musicians under the direction of Constantinos Zorpas and the singers Hovig, George Kalopedis, George Stamataris and Elena Papapanagiotou .
Free-style Carnival Costume Competition – Awards will be given to the best three participants.

With the participation of the young majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association and Limassol Majorettes and the Limassol Municipality Youth Brass Band.

From 6.00p.m. onwards the Georgia Protopapa’s Vocal Ensemble and Mousikes Periplanisis’ choir will be singing outside the Pattihio Municipal Theatre.

Starting Point: Ayios Nikolaos Round About
Ending Point: Polemidia Traffic Lights (Fairways)
1.00p.m. The parade will be preceded by the Limassol Municipality Brass Band, the Limassol Majorettes of the Cyprus Girl Guides Association, Serenaders, the Batukinio percussion band and the Limassol Majorettes.
The parade will be headed by the “King of the Flame”, a sea of floats and pedestrians.
During the parade, former carnivalists will be honoured by the Limassol Municipality for their contribution to the Limassol Carnival.
9.00 p.m. Farewell Carnival Fiesta – Old Port Square
Come party with us as we wave goodbye to the Carnival with Los Carnavalos band, followed by DJ music.
Free style Carnival Costume Competition – Awards will be given to the best three participants.

Participation in the events of the Limassol Carnival to be held at Lanitis Carob Mill is free of charge.

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. The maximum number of tickets a person can reserve is 4.
