Dense traffic is observed from the morning in the Troodos area. On the road network of urban areas, as well as on motorways, there are no particular problems, around 11am. this morning.
According to the Police, the ALONAS - AGROS road is closed to ALL vehicles due to snowfall and frost.
In the mountains, open only to vehicles with four-wheel drive, or to vehicles equipped with snow chains, (due to frost) are the roads:
Karvounas-Troodos
Platres - Troodos
Papoutsas – Agros
Kyperountas – Chandria.
As stated in an announcement by the Police, in order to avoid inconveniences and cause road collisions, the transition of vehicles (4X4 / anti-slip), to Troodos, is done with controlled access.
It should be noted that due to the prevailing winter conditions, the situation on the road network is changing.
The public is urged as before their movements, they are informed about the condition of the roads through the announcements released by the Police.
