ETAP PAPHOS IN ISRAEL TO PROMOTE PAPHOS TOURISM AND EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF SMART TOURISM 2023
A representative of the Tourism Company is present in Tel Aviv on February 14 and 15of Development and Promotion of the Paphos Region and hoteliers of the area for participation in the 25th Tourist exhibition IMTM 2023.
ETAP Paphos and the organizations that support it are participating in the Exhibition this year as wellTourism with the aim of further promoting Wedding ceremonies, Cycling tourism and Sports Tourism in general, the title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2023, but also the unique experiences that the province has to offer all year round whether these are for short or regular trips.
In this market further opportunities for growth of due and sufficient are apparent connection of Tel Aviv with Paphos by Ryanair, of the already very good communication that received in recent years by Paphos but also due to the excellent results that recorded in recent years with the exception of the 2020-2021 pandemic years.
For the upcoming summer period April 1 - October 31, 2023 based on the preliminary planning of the airlines shows excellent connectivity of Cyprus with Israel since more than 55 inbound scheduled flights are expected per week with 17 flights to connect Paphos International Airport and 38 to Larnaca Airport.
Israel's 2022 market moved higher and recovered 95% of its performance 2019 reaching 277,000 arrivals ranking it as the 2nd consecutive market of Paphos in matters of arrivals. The operators of Paphos consider Israel to be one of the tourist markets which can further contribute to softening seasonality and extending the tourist season.
