A bill entitled "The Excise Taxes (Amendment) Law of 2023" was approved by the Council of Ministers as part of the measures promoted to mitigate the effects of the ongoing war in Ukraine and in particular the increased fuel prices.
The above bill grants an extension for a period of 2 months, from March 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023, of the imposition of reduced excise duty rates on specific products, due to the ongoing challenges faced by households and businesses in the field of energy product prices.
By granting the extension, there will be a reduction in the financial costs borne by consumers and businesses in the Republic.
