The owners of a luxury 14-storey apartment complex in Adana, which collapsed during last Monday's earthquakes, tried to escape to the occupied territories on the day of the earthquake and were arrested.

According to Kipris postasi citing the opposition Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet, father Hassan Alpargyun and his son, Hassan Jian Alpargyun, are the owners of the Alpargyun apartment complex in the town of Chukurova in the Adana region and sold the apartments as luxurious and safe.
