The Police have received allegations of theft of money from citizens' bank accounts. The fraud is done through telephone messages and an electronic link - link they contain.
According to the Cybercrime Sub-Directorate, lately it has received a very large number of reports from citizens that they received in the normal number they receive messages for debits / credits of a Cypriot bank account, a message stating the phrase "Your account has been temporarily locked, please verify your identity at the following link: https://.......".
The recipients of such messages are requested to be particularly careful not to click on the specific electronic links, since there is a risk of charging and interception of their data.
