A case of theft of parts from a warehouse near the area of the desalination plant in Kouklia is being investigated by the Paphos Police.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Ioannou, yesterday a person reported to the Kouklia police station that on the same day he was informed by a friend that two cars of a certain type and registration number departed from a warehouse with parts he maintains in the village of Kouklia near the area of the desalination plant.
The informant informed the complainant that he followed the above two cars and realized that various components for radiaters were being transported in them. A check made by the complainant in his warehouse found that parts and radiaters with a total value of about €800 were stolen.
He then went to an ironwork processing plant and after talking with the head of the unit he was informed that the occupants of the above two cars transported there and sold a number of parts and radiaters which the complainant saw and recognized were his own.
Members of the Kouklia police station went to the scene and undertook the investigation of the case. Judicial arrest warrants were obtained against the drivers of the two vehicles and they are wanted. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
