PAPHOS MARINA - AT MINISTRY FOR APPROVAL 8 FEBRUARY

Important developments just around the corner for the mega project of the Paphos marina.  The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, in today's telephone communication, informed the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paphos, George May, that the proposal concerning the Paphos marina is ready and will be taken to the Council of Ministers for approval at its next meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, February 8.

Mr. May thanked the competent Deputy Minister for the interest and efforts he made in overcoming the various problems related to the project. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paphos stressed that with the approval of the Council of Ministers, a very important infrastructure project for the province is on track for implementation, since the way is now open for its tendering and construction.

"The Paphos marina will significantly enrich our tourism product and stimulate the local economy bringing multiplier benefits," he said. "Paphos will be placed on the nautical map and the conditions will be created for attracting further investments".

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paphos, concluded George May, will closely monitor the developments with the aim of implementing the project as soon as possible.
